I'm excited!!

So it is almost October and that means only one more month until Brady and I can be sealed in the Temple!!! I'm getting really excited and I cannot wait to have the wonderful blessing of being sealed to my husband for time and all eternity! I think this is one of the most wonderful blessings the church has to offer, I mean common being sealed to your family for the eternities? Who wouldn't think this isn't anything but awesome!

Okay so I don't know if any of you know but I officially have a calling in church! I am now the new Beehive Advisor and I am absolutely loving my calling, I get to teach these young girls (ages 12-14) every month about some gospel oriented topic! I also get to attend mutual every wednesday with them, something I never did growing up. But it has really given me the opportunity to really learn about church topics in depth. I love every chance I have to learn more about the church, so I really like being able to teach these little girls the same information.

The last lesson I taught was about the difference between Godly philosophies and worldy philosophies. Like the difference between marriage and divorce, the word of wisdom and drugs... etc. I also like the chance I have to give these girls, most of whom have been members their entire lives, a different look at the world. Mainly my perspective being a convert to the church. I can bring the non-member perspective to their lives. I think this is so important that these girls get a chance to see what it is like being a non-member so they can better relate with those in their lives who may not necissairly be members of their faith. We are taught to be kind to everyone, not just those we attend church with. I know when I was growing up I had many bad experiences with members. This is a lot of the reason why I was so opposed to the church for most of my life. There are some people out there who exclude others because they are not members of the church, this is so wrong! How can we ever expect people to be interested in the church if they have only had negative experiences with memebers of the church?

Anyways.. onto other less serious matter...

I am soooooo excited for CHRISTMAS!!!! Yay, this will be the first christmas of my life where the main focus of christmas is Christ. I never really knew much about Christ growing up so he was never really mentioned unless you happend to be singing a christmas carol like Joy to the World... It was always about the presents! Even though I really enjoy the present aspect of it, I'm excited to learn more about my Savior and really think about him during the Christmas season.

I am also really excited for pumpkin pie...... REALLY EXCITED!
